There is no replacement for the memories and feelings that were shared with someone with whom you were intimate. However, it is possible to move on, and develop love for another individual. This doesn't mean that you stopped loving the first individual - or more accurately - still carry feelings and memories - you just build a new relationship. Numbering relationships is too much like keeping score - and not necessary. Some people endure multiple relationships until they find 'the one' that they wish to remain with.
It is possible to love several individuals simultaneously - for example, you love your family, right? It may be a different kind of love, but the concept is relatively the same.
Nature designed us to be feeling, emotional creatures. Stop counting - just experience life!

Your first love won't be forgotten but don't spend your life dwelling on the past. It is totally possible to love truly and deeply many times in your life. Just don't replace love with food :)

yes you can love and love the second person as much if not more than the first person. but, if you truly loved the first person then you will NEVER forget them and could always have feelings for them for the rest of your life.

Well, in my opinion on what I have experienced....first love cannot be forgotten, but when you find your first TRUE love...you won't even remember why you fell in love with them in the first place. You will love this person like you've never loved before. You will still remember your first love, but you will in turn forget the love you had for them. Hopefully that makes sense!! :)

If physical sensations are temporal, memories can be displaced, and both can be misread, why not anger, love and hate ?
In other words, it is notionally possible to love a number of times yet be completely amiss of it.
Alternatively, relative attribution may lend in equal proportions or in the order of preferred attributes attached to the ensuing event.

they said first love is hard to forget, because this "love" is innocent. it's your first time to fall in love and be with someone you really care about. it's your first time to be in a serious relationship. but if the relationship fails, you really don't count of how many times you've fallen in love after that. you may be in relationships afterwards but it's just simply saying that you care for that person. when you find TRUE LOVE, then you'll never want to be anywhere without your true love. get it?
by the way, don't say you love someone just because you think it's the right thing to say. you don't say it unless you really, really mean it. i learned my lessons the freakin' hard way.

what is first love worth, except to prepare for a second?what does second love bring?only regret for the first...remember this: God wants us to meet a few wrong people before meeting the right one,so when we meet the right person,we will be grateful....dont you think???
A memory of true love is likea favorite song;no matter how many times it plays again, you never get tired of it...

Unless you part on bad terms with a person you love, I think second, third, etc. loves are more like loves "in addition to" but not "replacing" your former loves.
