It is the corporate culture, where peopel adopt the values of dog-eat-dog that comes with being a faceless cog in some uncaring company.
Instead of realizing that that type of work culture is dehumanizing and has nothing to do with how they live and relate to others outside of worktime, the corporate minions of today have brought this substandard behavior into all facets of life as we know it.
Stay away from people who have a cold-blooded 'user' mentality. They're bad for your mental health!

True lovev does exist for some people who believe in it truly and purely. We don't see it so often because our society and world are very materialistic, and some cultures (like the Chinese) feel that other things are more important than love(i personally think that this idea is quite stupid). People are so self centered that it is hard for them to love someone else unconditionally, which is the requirement for true love. Society has placed such an emphasis on money, career, and social standing that people barely have time for themselves, let alone to have true love. People are also self seeking; they look at it as "how can i benefit from this relationship; what is the return on my 'investment.'" They look at love as an investment in which they only want something out of it. This is not the concept of true love, and therefore the reason why true love is not as evident in our society today, although it does exist among a rare few.

Because the idea of true love only exists in your head, the movies and greeting card commercials.
Marriage and love take work, commitment, responsibility, compromise, communication and a willingness to put someone else before yourself. Sometimes it's blissful, carefree and fun, and sometimes it's not. There are ups and there are downs, but the important part is sitting through the ride for the person you love.

gee wally, i'll have to inform my wife of 17 yrs! and all this time i thought it was for real...
oh wait! she has the same last name - that makes her family too! thank goodness! i was really worried.
true love does exist, but most people don't even know what it looks like anymore - much less how to "find" it. we think love is what we see in movies and on TV - nothing could be further from the truth. take a look at some of my other posts, if you really want an answer to this question - especially the question "are you more or less in love with your spouse than on your wedding day?" pretty much covers it for ya.

Well, of course it exist!
But the world is changing. Materialistic. Perfect model bodies = attractive. Love = Sex.
You will find truth love if your other half has the same view as you about love. Through any storm or weather, your true love always stays with you.

Heay this is a good question "Yes what or where do fake one siders not conveen!" Especially when we get older? And how do we play fair ( both sexes ) It is alright for people asking us to find our inner self but who really can!! I am not suppose to gamble but percentage wise what are the ratio of more mature Ppl getting to-gether and if our friends & family aren't please we vacate their deicision and express ours? We do need to carry our selves on and one day or so we will have it [ Hopefully before we are in our graves! ] Oh now I feel better I said this.

I agree with you, today's love is too easy, everything is open and easy now, in the old days love was so special, we used to really miss our beloved, and day dream all the time, while these days you can always reach your love by mobile, if not by sms and if not by email, girls are everywhere and there is always someone you can go to, in the old days people used to cry and suffer from love not like these days, all is easy and available.

Contrary to what "everybody" says; true love DOES exist. Many people do have happy, fulfilling marriages. We just don't hear about the ones who just live, and enjoy their marriages.
