-MS Office --excel etc..is there but not MS WORD ---it is not on desktop or in short cut...if you look under programs installed not there...can't find it anywhere..HOWEVER if you right click on desktop...you can open up a new MS Word document ..so it still has to be there,,it won't let you piggy back of that to create shortcut etc....it is not in the recycle bin....any suggestions from you computer savvy people???? thanks

to create a new desk top icon go to c/programe files /microsoft office/...then search the files till you find the normal icon for word ...right click on it ti create a shortcut then pull the shortcut on to your desktop ......

Look at C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11
You should see a file name "winword"

The properties of the icon might have set as hide. In the folder options, "do not show hidden files "might have activated. Please check up

click "microsoft office" mine is in this folder

do a search on the c drive for winword.exe if its there it will be found

The you did not install it on your computer.
