Same reason the guy with a big johnson doesn't brag about, he don't have to. Those who know him, already know.

Because America isnt a communist state before the start of a war. And when you start parading your military around even more than you do now, everyone realizes that conflict will be comeing, and here comes an arms race again.
And remember, America might have a strong military, but a strong military cant take Nukes from any other country atall.
Mutually Assured Destruction, look it up.

Uh, yeah, we do not prefer to attempt one of those difficulty. we've the whole defense force the international has EVER considered in each and every time period and degree. we do not prefer to gloat. we are the whole. not positive what your question is getting at. do you want extra parades contained in the U. S. or what? it really is high quality to have Memorial Day, demanding artwork Day and Vets Day parades, yet we do not prefer to do a huge one in basic terms to communicate about the greatness of our defense force. this is the nicely acceptable. we've the most specialist, powerful, wise, useful and worrying defense force the international has ever said.

There is no political reason to.
In Finland we do have small parades for special occasions, though they are mostly there to justify the exersize of parading, which is considered beneficial for a unit to act in unison, especially in Basic. It's when the brainwashing occurs- everything has to be spot on perfect, and everybody has to keep pace and no one is allowed to screw up on the pain of collective "punishment".
It turns peer pressure into motivation, really. Of course, paid armies don't need to instill motivation to their troops, seeing as they get their paychecks anyway.

I think it would probably create a bad image for us... Many people don't want to see things like that because it gives them the idea that they are being somehow controlled by the government. Also, many people who don;t get out much lol, would have only seen something like that in the whole anti nazi propoganda from WWII. Seeing that in their own country would probably scare them a bit.
But there is always the chance that if we did have them, we would end up looking like the British ^_^ So I guess it's better to just not take the risk lol.
*edit*
"Nobody left to march in them."
Lol, you are joking, right?

It's because they are all deployed, preparing for deployment, or just got home from the deployment, and have better ******* **** to do. I'll tell ya, If I had to parade my **** around when I got home from Iraq, I would have been pissed. I would much rather spend time with my family. The officers who make those decisions think the same way as well.

because we live in a democracy - our military is a branch of the government, but it is not THE government.
I am a pacifist, and i do not think we should have a military. however, remember that soldiers are neither demi-gods or evil-doers...they are people just like us, just like my best friend, who turned 18 and had no where else to go.
Bush kills people...the soldiers are just naive pawns.

It's a waste of the individual Soldiers time and a big waste of money. Besides it's too much like bragging.

That would be politically incorrect and would be attacked by politically correct nuts (like Democrats). Look how they're attacking Bush because they want better treatment for terrorists (who, by Geneva rules, can be shot on sight).
