My ex-wife asked me why I wanted to have sex in different positions, places and why I wanted her to do more than lay on her back. She said the only way that she can enjoy sex is on her back and with the lights out. I don't know about the rest of men but I like to see my woman's face every once in awhile, and It really gets old doing the same ol same ol. When our last days together came around she said she hated every moment of my request, but she did it to appease me. What do you think?

Yes orgasm do happen .... in every position. . it's a mental thing move than a position thing (providing both folks are comfortable).
Alot of folks have baggage to deal with .... the in the dark thing may be she was uncomfortable, embarrassed, or you were just that ugly!
Any way if your partner is in the right state of mind and you engage in alittle more fore play than "Brace Yourself" it will work for you both.

Different women may find it easier to reach orgasm in certain positions. Maybe it's easier for your wife like that. It's possible. However, it's also possible that she's lying for whatever reason. And to answer your question, no it isn't true that women in general only orgasm when lying on their back. Women can orgasm in any position that pleasures them. Some women take longer to orgasm though, and some women never do, while others can have multiple orgasms and reach them pretty fast. Every woman is different, but I think that most women can reach orgasm just fine as long as the men and themselves know what they're doing. Reasons for women enjoying or not enjoying certain positions more or less than others can be more psychological than physical.

I guess everyone has a way it works best for them. Maybe that's what she likes the best altho in some cases I'll bet it's an excuse. It kind of sounds like she's inhibited because to be on the bottom and also want the lights out makes you wonder.
So now you say you've split up. I'll bet it was because of sex, too bad because sex isn't the reason for a relationship. Come on now or they wouldn't call it a relationship. They'd just call it sex or an affair.
Naw she didn't hate doing it other ways, she just hated being in the light completely naked. You should've compromised, her on top with the lights out. Not to mention she can get off on top if YOU know what you're doing. Women are lucky, there are all sorts of tricks our bodies will do if the guy knows what he's doing.

Sounds like she is not comfortable or confident with herself or her body in bed.
I have had orgasms in different positions and very much enjoy sex! I have even had an orgasm standing up! That is through stimulation of course of the clitoris, which is basically the main organ in a womans body that gives them an orgasm. Try talking to her more about this again and what pleases her, get some sex toys or videos and if she doesn't want to I guess you are stuck with her not being that sexually adventurous and may even be sexually incompatible. You do have other options, youcan leave her but that all depends on how important sex is to you.

Well some women can only orgasm by receiving attention in very few ways. But if she really loves you...a woman would understand your need to change things up every once in a while. You don't have to set up a schedule, but sometimes have sex her way until she orgasms and then finish having sex your way. Or sometimes just have sex her way through the whole time you are having sex and sometimes have your way through the whole time you are having sex. You two need to be fair and equal or no relationship will ever work out. Good Luck!

okay so maybe she wasn't for you cus that is definitely not true. sure, we don't orgasm all the time every time, but we still have fun and yes, we can orgasm in any position as long as we are comfortable with our partner and feel safe doing whatever it is were doing. she should never have done it to make you happy, if she was uncomfortable she should have talked to you about it. this is her bad not yours. find a girl who's willing to try new things, how old are you? try a chick who's a little older they are more secure with themselves usually. i'm 30 my boyfriend is 27 and i'm a lot different in bed than his ex who was only 22

Maybe that position was best for her to experience an orgasm. Having the lights off all the time seems like she might have a complex or low self esteem problem.

I believe that every woman is different and that some are able to have orgasms on their back, standing up, or in any other type of position.
