for anyone that isn't a 15 handicap or better (call it an average score of 88 or so) x-outs are fine. most of them are just cosmetically defective and it won't make any difference. they are actually better than recycled balls 'premium balls' in my opinion. www.golfballs.com has some decent specials and some brands you don't see much lilke Volvik but I usually just get them at Wal-mart

Looking for inexpensive golf balls, well most x-out are fine but they are x-out for a reason and you will discover that some are flawed other are perfect but were slightly off color or overruns. You can find some great deals on used golf balls on line and at EBay. Walmart offer some titanium non conforming balls (not legal for USGA sanctioned competition) at less than 50cent a piece as cheap as $7.99 for 18 balls. Dunlop DDH can be found around $15 for two dozes. Check out the link below for deals. they have Titleist NXT tour Grade A ball (used) @ $10 a dozen compared to $35 new. That is a quality ball.

you can't go wrong with X-Outs if you are a recreational golfer - most of the time, they have a logo error or something minor which eliminates them from being premium, front line golf balls - I personally hit Titleist NXT Tour golf balls, I just recently bought 72 of them brand new for $33 which averages somewhere around .45 cents per ball - how can you go wrong?
