wow what a question?
it has two sides to it--some popes i believe have had Jesus as their savior-some are very religous and represent for the most part the right things.
others have done much evil in the world.
personally i would not say that as a defining roll.
yet the heart of the church is in salvation by the church-thebible says "For by grace are ye saved through fatih, and that not of yourselves its the gift of God, not of works lest anyone should boast." Ephesians 2vs8&9
if the pope holds to the doctrine salvation only in the church yes-another wolf in sheeps clothing
if the pope at the time believes in salvation by grace-as martin luther exclaimed from the bible-then no

I think he is, but not cause of what he said about the Muslims. I believe he is cause he is the head of a religion that thinks it follows the Bible down pat, but just look at its followers - quite simply Big Hypocrites.

If this is in reference to what he said about the Muslims, I say no. As far as the Catholic church is concerned, I don't believe like they do.

No, he is both a great church leader, having to combine church political abilities, with extreme love and caring.
