hi again, my cat always follows me into the bathroom and just lays there until i'm done with whatever i need to do, shower, shave, whatever, is this normal? and i'm not into chasing him out since it doesn't really bother me but i was just curious if all cats do this?

My cat does this too. He rubs against my leg when I am on the toilet and is fascinated when I flush. He comes running when I turn on the tap and loves to splash water everywhere. He also waits for me when I am in the shower and meows the whole time. If I take a bath he likes to sit on the edge of the tub. If I close the door he lays against it and cries.
He doesn't do this if my husband or anyone else is in the bathroom - just me.

That is so funny about the cat sleeping in the fruit bowl. How cute!
Yeah, my cat comes in the bathroom if I'm using the toilet. She jumps in the tub and scratches at the tub faucet until I "give her drops"--I have to turn on the water until it's barely dripping and she tries to catch the drops with her cute little paws and lets the water drip on her head. My cat really likes water--she paws at water in bottles and doesn't mind baths (though the shampoo seems to irk her.) Just another weird/cute thing kitties do!
Oddly enough, my dog despises water and hates the bathroom because it's where the B-A-T-H happens. She doesn't even like getting her paws wet when there's dew on the grass. Weird.

Twitch, my cat, alwasy follows people into my bathroom. Not only me but guests as well. If the door closes before she gets angry and just screams until let it. She also always walks around the shower/tub after someone shows and gets soaking wet but she doesn't like baths. who knows...but your not alone.

Hi there again Francis...many cats love to follow their favourite human pets into the bathroom. I think they find our activities there fascinating and sometimes the odours interesting (soap, private bathroom biz, etc). Surprisingly, it's quite common.

My two do the same thing.
I think they love on your ankles while you use the potty because your trapped and they can love on you all they want. I also think they stay in there when you are in the shower because they are confused and curious about why you are standing in all that water.

Not only follows me in but jumps up on counter to be petted as well. Kind of a distraction but I sure would miss it if he were gone.

i think they are just curious and stuff. sometimes my cats wait for me outside of the bathroom door, its really cute

it depends on the cat. my cat for instant likes to sleep in the fruit bowl, even if there is fruit in it. my mom hated it so she put a pinapple in there to stop him, but it didn't work. just let the cat do what he wants.

Your cat is just showing its loyalty to you and it wants to be wherever you go my cat does this to and many dogs do this to its is prefectly normal
