if you're eating a balanced diet there is no need for supplementation barring athletic endeavers or specific medical reasons.I use some supplements but I've done an awful lot of reading on the subject. Many vitamins (like the A in fish oils) can become toxic in high dosages. The only two ways for you to know are to do the research or consult a nutritionalist. You don't provide that much information so I can't assist you any further.I will tell you that iron should be used with caution and A and E are fat soluble so can be potentially dangerous in high doses as well.C and B complex are water soluble so they have little risk associated with their use.Beware that many peoplewill claim that these supplements don't contain what they say because the FDA does not evaluate them. The FDA does not evaluate claims of efficacy but requires them to list the contents exactly.Follow the asterisk next to anything on a supplement bottle. This will tell you what the FDA does not evaluate.Whatever the nutrition information says is fact. They're braking the law if they lie about that, not the claims. That's a commonly misunderstood note on supplement packages. It is a fact though

I do believe they work, due to sever food allergies I can't eat any water based fords... so no vegetables and no salad as well as other stuff... the list is too long to write on here.

Since being an adult I take muti vitimans and all my test at the doctors come back fine, and I feel healthy. I have good hair and good skin and touch wood no health problems. I think if its possible it is better to get the vitimans from food but at times this is not possible. I remember as a child I was often very tired and very grouchy and this was thought to be because of my diet. I don't think vitimans are a quick fix but taken over a length of time I believe they do benefit you.

No multi-vitamin is a substitute for a healthy balanced diet. Unless you have a medical condition that affects your absorption of minerals and vitamins, they are merely a quick fix cheat for people who don't want to take the time to ensure they are eating the right foods to get their recommended daily allowance. Multi-vitamins are expensive and in most cases unnecessary if you are prepared to take the time to look after yourself

Most vitamin products off the shelf contain nothing much of any use, most don't even contain anything they claim to. I used to rattle with the amount of vitamins and other things I used - still it didn't help me one little bit. Yes, too many of these self-proclaiming products ARE a scam!

I now use products from the company which pioneered Glyconutrition, and that has practically changed my life. A google search on that will receal just how remarkable the science is. More than 2,00 doctors have quit the profession simply because they get better results using Glyconutrients, but insist on the original products, not some cheap self-proclaimed copy.

Your body requires certain vitamins and nutrients in it, but if you have a well balanced diet with foods in the food pyramid, then you shouldnt have a need for a multi vitamin because those foods will have all you need. For all the rest of the people who dont eat well, a vitamin is helpful to get some of that iron and calcium, etc that we arent getting in our daily diet.

We many times won't be in a position to get all the food that we pick from nutrition on my own, so a multi-diet is many times a solid thought. I unquestionably have additionally heard that that's terrific to purchase a high quality diet from a wellness nutrition save (like total ingredients).

I once asked one of the Uk's top surgeons this very question. His answer was that you would have to take a bottle of multi-vitamins a day before they started doing you any good. It's probably cheaper to eat properly and make sure you have a balanced diet.

Yes, they definitely work well for the human body. Get the multivitamins with multiminerals. Take one pill daily. That is all you need. I like to include an additional vitamin d pill. Synthetics work as well as the natural pills. I buy mine at Walmart.

Something else that works very well is the once-a-year flu shot.
Grocery stores and drug stores have them. I got mine at Walmart last year. Usually around October.

Vitamins and shot; did not get the cold or flu for the past 10 years.

Firstly, there is no substitute for a well balanced diet. If you do take supplements you should always take them with food so that the blood stream carries them around the body quicker, otherwise they are just removed as waste.

Initially, people began taking vitamin supplements to insure that they got their daily dose - despite whether or not they were eating balanced meals. You know, fast food and the like. Then the became commercialized and they're a huge business.
