Yes and would do again and again and again. Someone has to help them out cause they can not help themselves. Hopefully if you tell they will not be aloud to have another animal. It is so sad that people do that. The neighbor behind me decided the best way to get rid of the dogs that were killing his chickens was to put anti-freeze in food at the back of his fence almost in our yard. It killed 3 of our neighbors dogs and one of them was a Rock that was a rescue dog and he was so sweet. I got so angry i called the police and told them and he was fined and he can not have a dog. Guess what? the dogs that were killing his chickens was his own.

Yes I have reported people for animal abuse. I have had to report people for leaving animals in hot cars. One of the times that I called the police about a dog left in a van in heat on a morning I was working, when the police came and opened the van; there was also a baby and a young child in the back of the van. Needless to say, human services had to be called; and the father was taken away in handcuffs being charged with multiple accounts of abuse and abandonment on both the children and the dog. The person who came into where I was working had not seen the children as it was one of those panel vans, and they were seated in the back without any windows. The man was actually away from the van over one hour and the police and a human services supervisor sat in the parking lot and kept track of the amount of time. The dog had already been taken to a local ASPCA shelter; and the children were in the care of human services at the police station. This was several years ago, and I can still remember the sick feeling in my stomach. This was not an "emergency" situation where the parent just stepped away from the vehicle, which is what some people say. This man had walked out of the parking lot where he left the vehicle and was actually shopping in the Mall that was located next to my workplace. The people who had come in and reported the dog being in the van initially will never know how important that report was. I am glad to see there are a lot of people on here who have reported abuse and the young lady who wants to report her Aunt and Uncle should at least call the police and make a report. If she calls the police and explains the situation; it will at least get checked out and possible the poor dogs will end up in loving homes with people who would treat them with love and kindness. If you need to report someone, do it. You could be saving a life.

Once. If you know someone abuse an animal, report it. Those animals have no way of protecting themselves from abusive owners, so be the man and report it to the authorities.

I have never reported anyone because around here there is nowhere but you can start with the humane society, if not just take the animal to a shelter if you can, if not give the person a peice of your mind, I have done that many times

No, REAL abuse is rare. It is NOT abuse or neglect just because someone doesn't keep their animals like YOU think they should. If the dog has water, shelter and is fed it is not abuse or neglect. If a dog is starving or being beaten, then yes, I would report. If it is just because I don't like the way they care for their animals (and I feel that way alot), then I mind my own business.

yes, when i was 19 and living in arizona, saw a sheltie in a car(in the summer) in a grocery store parking lot, with the windows open about an inch. dog was panting frantically. i saw no one around, took the fire extinguisher from my car, broke the car window to get the dog out, then went into the grocery store(with the dog in my arms) had them page the people's license plate, then called the police and aspca. the police/aspca/ and the dog owners all showed up at the same time. the aspca took the dog, and the dog owners got ticketed, and i got thanked by the police and aspca.
police didn't ticket/arrest me for breaking car window. is a criminal offense to leave an animal in a car in arizona.
this was 27 years ago.

yes, i have because i love animals and i cannot stand to see one abused or neglected. if you feel this animal is being harmed, please report it. not enough food and water, physical abuse, left in the elements with no shelter...the animal may be better off put to sleep than to live being abused.

Yes, i did, animal cruelty is morally wrong and people who are cruel to animals should be locked up or treated the same way they treat their animals to give them a taste of their own medicine.

If you can't treat your animal decently you should f-ing have one.
