Not really, but they do sell cards for this occasion. So a card with some money in it would be nice.

If it's a Catholic baptism, it's a pretty ceremonial event. I would bring something for the baby. At the very least, a card and some money would be nice.

If you're not sure always err on the side of gifting. Few people turn their noses up at a present.
It can be something as elaborate as a crib bedding set (you can never have too many baby sheets, or socks, or onesies), or a simple as a gift card.

A card and a series E/EE US savings bond is a nice gesture....it shows you have an interest in the little ones future and can be purchased for 1/2 the face value.

It would be a nice gesture. You would not be wrong in doing so. Let me put it this way: you do not want to be the only lady that does not bring a gift----that would be embarrassing. The mother will appreciate your thoughtfulness.

A small gift will be good. Don't spend more than $20. Or you can give money in a card.

No, only the godparents bring something. If there's a brunch afterwards you can bring a dish.

It's not required. depending on how close you are to the family. if you're a very good friend, probably some socks or a small baby toy. nothing too expensive or extravagent.
