So you are invaded by the sock monster, too?!!
As this is in parenting, I think you must have children. I use odd socks for making sock puppets. Okay, so very boring but useful when my daughter turns up with bored friends! And my son used to do the same thing (although, being 13, will not admit to it now!).
However, you have to be careful doing this - as soon as you start, you find the other sock!

In our home the male sock drawer is always matched but not the female sock drawer. LOL

Its a man thing, having a sock drawer........
My brother only ever wears one colour of socks and he has no problem.
The 'one sock' problem usually results from doing ones laundry in a LAUNDRYMAT. One sock invariably gets stuck in a corner of the washing machine and gets left behind.
Once when I checked with lady running the LAUNDRYMAT, she produced a whole box of odd socks, she had retrieved from washing machines!

I dont have a drawer but a place in my wardrobe where these holey and usually pairless socks go. i think the others are ate by my washing machine.

At this point, the only socks I have are mismatched ones.

i have three - his, mine and the kids.
to answer the other one - they go in the washing machine where one always disappears, this is actually an evil plot as the socks are planning to take over the world when we least expect it..........
