cabbage rolls
INGREDIENTS:
2/3 cup water
1/3 cup uncooked white rice
8 cabbage leaves
1 pound lean ground beef
1/4 cup chopped onion
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed tomato soup
------------------------------...
DIRECTIONS:
In a medium saucepan, bring water to a boil. Add rice and stir. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 20 minutes.
Bring a large, wide saucepan of lightly salted water to a boil. Add cabbage leaves and cook for 2 to 4 minutes or until softened; drain.
In a medium mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, 1 cup cooked rice, onion, egg, salt and pepper, along with 2 tablespoons of tomato soup. Mix thoroughly.
Divide the beef mixture evenly among the cabbage leaves. Roll and secure them with toothpicks or string.
In a large skillet over medium heat, place the cabbage rolls and pour the remaining tomato soup over the top. Cover and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer for about 40 minutes, stirring and basting with the liquid often.

Depends on the season. Right now, I'm enjoying home made soups, breads, and pot roasts. I do have a few all-time favorite recipes. I'll post the links, otherwise the whole page will disappear!

I just found this recipe and it's awesome, I'm making it for everyone!
You take:
One pineapple, cut off the outside, and de-core it.
1/4 cup brown sugar (may need to double depending on the size of the pineapple)
1 tsp. cinnamon (also may need to double)
10x sugar
--Preheat oven to 400 degrees
While oven is heating:
--Mix cinnamon and brown sugar in a large bowl or a ziplock bag
--Lightly dab pineapple onto paper towl to mop up excess juice
--Drop in pineapple rings and either flip in bowl or shake bag until pineapple is coated
--Lay pineapple onto a foil-lined baking tin
--Once all the pineapple is coated lightly sprinkle with 10x sugar
---Put in oven for 20 minutes
When your done the pineapple juice with melt with the sugar and create a cinnamon sugar sauce and the flavors will have been absorbed by the fruit.
You can eat plain or while they are still warm put them on vanilla ice cream.
Also, chop up leftovers and put in fridge, mix with vanilla yogurt and granola for breakfast.
They are now a favorite in my house and very easy to make.
