Hi, I would recommend thin copper streaks, and lots of them. Or get a dark caramel and copper in a foiling process. Or copper and a bright red or dark red brown, preferably by Redken. They have awesome red/copper series. Find a salon that carries Redken color. =o) Cosmetologist

First, you should go in the sunlight and look at your natural highlights. See if they are red, burdgundy, etc. Then go from there.

Try to find someone who loves to do color. Most stylists have a prefferance for what they do, for example, my guy of 5 years, really likes to cut short hair and doesn't do too well with long hair. I know a girl who cuts hair, but would rather be doing fun colors, she really likes the transformation.

Any highlights are going to look dramatic on black or really dark hair, since those colors are dark and highlights are, well, light.

Dont forget, the colors will fade out a bit in a couple weeks. I work with a girl who has really, really dark hair and got some burgandy highlights and at first it was like, WOAH! RED! Now its faded a bit and looks better.

Have fun, good luck!
