You can refuse to believe it, but in this day and age, children are having sex at a much younger age than when we were in school. I'd have an open discussion about it with him/her. It's often easier for a sibling to come to another sibling for help than it is to go to mom or dad with something like this. I'd start having this talk with them in the 6th grade. I know you are thinking 11 and 12? But in all honesty, it's the new 15 and 16. I swear this is just sad. I wish you lots of luck!

Kids are gonna have sex no matter what they are told. Giving the option of bc is not encouraging, but educating. There is no set age for this, but talking to them regarding it should be about when they hit thier teen years.

it depends on how her children are...if her children need it and out having sex than yea she should do it, but if her children are like me and not in to that type of thing they don't need it. Besides she is the mother and she knows best for her children so as her friend give her your opnion but don't tell her how to raise her children...she might get a little mad..LOL
