This growth is like a gelenatas mass about the size of a large marble. It dosent hurt him and he actually likes it scratched. Should it be removed or just leave it alone. It dosen't bother him or me.

Given your cat's age, the growth is most likely a benign tumor. Many older cats get them. They are usually sub-cutaneous and don't hurt anything.

I would take your cat to your veterinarian to make sure that he doesn't have any tumors in his body.

If the tumor doesn't bother him, I wouldn't worry about getting it removed.

My older dog has some of these tumors. I got some removed and more just popped up....they don't hurt her, so why bother making her go through the surgery??

Good luck, hope this helps

I certainly would ask a vet to make an evaluation of the mass. If it should be a cancer they metastasize and can spread throughout the body. Cancers don't hurt or bother people until they reach a stage where very serious treatment is necessary.

So you might be risking your cat's life by not having it evaluated by a professional.

the first bypass you need to make is to get to the vet right away. Animals at the on the spot are not in a position to inform us how they sense, or what has exceeded off to them. there are such quite some risky issues outdoors that may account for the swelling. Cats are allergic to 1000's of diverse flora and flora. Your little chum might want to have brushed up hostile to at least one with that side of her face. you even ought to concentrate of human beings maliciously poisoning animals. Cat fights also reason this style on harm. sturdy success.

i've had dogs with lumps and bumps. take him to the vet have it checked. vet will probably tell you if it's not bothering him, leave it be. could be more stressful for your pet to go under the knife than to just leave it, and he's 13 already, having a happy life.

It would be a good idea to have a vet check it, even though it may not bother him. You never know, it could be cancerous. I would if it were my cat.

If he has had it for ever, it probably doesn't matter. If it is new, it could be growing (I hope it is not cancer) and must be removed, if the doctor says so. Ask the vet.

i would leave it alone considering the age of your cat, however if it begins to bother him you may want to consider having it looked at, at least...
