Because at some point in time you allowed it, and now it's just the norm. This is bad parenting mom. You need to set ground rules and limits for this child immediately. He's only 9, imagine what he's going to be like at 15. If you aren't able to get control, enlist in the help of professionals. It's easier to turn them around and get them on the right track when they are young.

Well if no one has told you yet, he needs help. Please seek help for him and you. In the small town i live in, you can go to the police station and explain the situation. They could take him to the police station talk to him. Maybe scare him a little bit. You have to take some kind of stand with him. I believe that whippings are still legal. You might want to check on that. If you don't do something now and i mean now he will end up hurting you.
God bless and Good luck

First and foremost, You have allowed him to become disrespectful. You must find a way to turn his attitude for you and all adults around. Try spending more time with him and doing things together that demand the respect from and for, the both of you!

Seems you need to let your son know whos boss!! I think I'd give him a few spankings of my own! Try taking priviledges away...no candy....no movies....no nothing fun! NO MONEY. Make him EARN by having good behavior what he wants. You take control now or he will be a horror by time he is a teenager! Sounds like he is on his way to become a juvenile delinquent!

Make him stop. Tell him if he does it again, he will lose something that he likes whether it be his stereo, his TV etc. If he does it again, remove something else he likes.
Eventually, you could get down to him no longer having a bed, just a mattress on the floor, and no door on his bedroom. He will only earn the things back when he learns to behave better.
Most of all, don't let him have any money or any favourite foods. He will learn.
Hitting him back will not teach him a thing.

You didn't teach him well. You took it easy on him when he was a baby and you let him have it his way. Even if your son is stronger than you, he shouldn't be beating you up. He should still have respect for and take out his anger some other way. This is a sign of bad parenting. You should seek professional help.

Go to a child psychologist. He may have a disorder that you may not know about. Sorry to hear about that though. I wish you the best.
