i see a full spectrum of colors,,have'nt heard that one,,

I believe that we recognize "basic colors," which are: red, blue, and green. Yes, green is supposed to be a mixture of yellow and blue... correct, but your eye and brain cortex just distinguish green, but not yellow.

it appears that you are asking a perceptual psychology question.

I would say "no" .... we "see" black as the absence of light ... go deep into a cave sometime .. while there, describe the "color" that you see.

it's black

(this is my opinion) ... no matter what you label the sensory phenomon of "no light", most people would call it "black" ...
