A good question. Does one make something.. sculpt, use carpentry, quilt, crochet, build something only to knock it down or tear it up or chop it to pieces. No, we care for and are happy with what we have achieved.
And according to the book, god did almost utterly destroy humanity with a flood (save for eight people). That makes it seem more like an admittance of being wrong and that is an entirely human quality not a divine one.
Like anything, there is always more there than meets the eye.

God didn't create mankind 'just to destroy it.' God doesn't want anybody to go to hell (1 Timothy 2:4); that's why He gave His Son to be the sacrifice for all (John 3:16). If people choose to rebel against Him, what more could He do but drag people by the ear?

god created something.. just to destroy it for a reason... It is because of the increasing bad deeds and sins done by humans.. And with that, humans are using this earth that he created to do their sins. And with that, God maybe has no choice but to destroy it. Freed the earth(also a living thing) from its misery...

God created the earth to remain forever. The world he will destroy is the world of wicked mankind. According to the Bible, the two groups he will destroy are those who do not know him and those who do not obey him.

There is only one creator, and he does not destroy his creations.
He created our first parents...they disobeyed but he let them live hundreds of yrs old so they can produce off spring. They died old age 930 something yrs.
He created the earth for man it is still in tact...but is being polluted by us humans but soon will clean the earth of those that refuse to do his will.
Let me ask you this, please tell me what he destroyed of his creations?
We are not an experiment he created us for a purpose...to fill the earth, subdue it and be in harmony with the animals bring forth offspring and live forever.
BUT our first parents screwed up, disobeyed but he loved mankind in the loins of Adam so he sent his son later to the earth to redeem them.
If you are an atheist I feel sorry for you.
Good luck to you and your family.

When God created the earth, it was perfect. The sins of mankind are what have destroyed the earth...

God created us and in us, free will. It isn't God who destroys but, our bad choices do.
We are worth a Son to God.
