It means we view situations differently, have different opinions. It can also mean that we what we're seeing may not look the same depending on what angle it's viewed from. If you see something I can't see, that doesn't mean it's not real. It just means I can't see it from where I'm at.

A perspective is an opinion, or observation; the arrival of which you see through your own eyes. I have a saying that I use to explain how two people who are looking at the very same event, later verbalize what happened differently:
"We see life through the prism of our own perceptions (or perspectives)"
Some people see more of the greens, blues, other see reds.........it could be on their own midsets, moods, temperament, social culture, etc. What do you think?
Sometimes you may have an observation that may seem really odd to everyone who has not been through what you have.
It doesn't mean you are wrong, or what you see is not real; it just may not be perceived the same way to other people... Just give them time to experience something like it for themselves. They'll come around:)

It doesn't mean what you see is not real, it just means that from where you stand (figuratively or literally), then your opinion or belief of the situation is what it is. With a different view (ie. more information or a change in positioning) then your perspective can change.

we all have different "perspectives" on all things, as in different points of view and different ways of seeing things. case in point.... i go to work and enjoy my job, it gives me a feeling of accomplishment, and at the end of the day i feel i've done something worthwhile. another person with the same job may go to work dreading the day ahead, feeling that the work performed is just a means toward that paycheck at the end of the week. if you see something that i don't see, it means we have a differing perspective on things...it's still real to you.... unless of course you are hallucinating....

no,,, it does not mean that......it very well could be real, and most likely is.
just hard for others to see it your way when they don't have the knowledge or particular experiences that allows you to see it the way you do. whether you have read about it, or something personal in your life that you have lived thru or seen first hand.
could be a million reasons why others will not see your point of view (perspective),,,,,,, doesn't make it "not real"

It means you have a "different outlook" on the matter. For example read this email someone sent to me. This is an example of the different perspective certain groups have in our society on different subject matter, I hope you find it somewhat humorous:
Interesting reponse from ABC
Body: AN ABC MESSAGE YOU HAVE TO READ
If more of us took a stand maybe we could have some decent TV programs. -- Jim Nugent is a coach in Childress, Texas.

Jim writes:
My name is Jim Neugent. I wrote to ABC (on-line) concerning a program called "THE PRACTICE." In last nights episode, one of the lawyer's mothers decided she is gay and wanted her son to go to court and help her get a marriage license so she could marry her 'partner.' ! I sent the following letter to ABC yesterday and really did not expect a reply, but I did get one.
My original message was:
ABC is obsessed (or should I say abscessed) ! with the subject of homosexuality. I will no longer watch any of your attempts to convince the world that homosexuality is OK. THE PRACTICE can be a fairly good show, but last night's program was so typical of your agenda. You picked the 'dufus' of the office to be the one who was against the idea of his mother being gay and made him look like a whiner because he had convictions. This type of mentality calls people like me a "gay basher." Read the first chapter of Romans (that's in the Bible) and see what the apostle Paul had to say about it.... He, God and Jesus were all 'gay bashers'. What if she'd fallen in love with her cocker spaniel? Is that an alternative lifestyle? (By the way, the Bible speaks against that, too.)

Here is ABC's reply from the ABC on-line webmaster:
How about getting your nose out of the Bible (which is ONLY a book of stories compiled by MANY different writers hundreds of years ago) and read the declaration of independence (what our nation is built on), where it says "All Men are Created equal," and try treating them that way for a change! Or better yet, try thinking for yourself and stop using an archaic book of stories as your lame crutch for your existence. You are in minority in this country and your boycott will not affect us or our freedom of statement.

Jim Neugent's second response to ABC:
Thanks for your reply. From your harsh reply, evidently I hit a nerve. I will share it with all with whom I come in contact. Hopefully, the Arkansas Democrat Newspaper will include it in one of their columns and I will be praying for you.

Note: Wouldn't Satan just love it if people stopped using the Bible
for a crutch? Please resend this to everyone in your mailbox.
-- Thanks, Jim Neugent
I wonder if the person from ABC considered how many people would read this e-mail!
[This is one we should definitely pass on.]

Perspective is a viewpoint. If you and I see two, different sides to each issue, then we both have different perspectives on something.

it is the way one person looks at a thing. normally based on how or what your own beliefs are. ( like the color of the sky i might think it is blue but you might think that it is light blue) it is all in the way you look at it.
