It will go away dont worry. That happens a lot . It just means your esophigus expanded because the piece of meat is too big. Its fine!

My husband did this after Hurricane Opal. All the roads were closed and the hospital personnel on the specialty team that takes care of this problem were unable to get to the hospital for several hours. In his case the meat was lodged in the lower esophagus just above the cardiac sphincter (or hiatal sphincter). The MD had to put my husband to sleep, then go in his mouth with a scope and camera. He took pictures to show me. The meat was pushed through to the stomach and the MD backed out again. But my husband was scratched and irritated and sore for several days afterward. It has happened several times since. The MD tells him to chew more completely and think about eating instead of talking to others during his meal. Long term effects can be very harmful-like Cancer from gastric juice damage. Take care of yourself. No one can do this for you.

Probably d/t spasm and not a "scratch". If it went away, don't fret about it. Suggest taking smaller pieces of food into mouth so can pass easily thru esophagus. If it recurs often (daily) check with your physician.

Sounds like a very common problem, with some food scratching or irritating your food pipe. Sure it will clear up as you heal yourself, if it hasn't gone in a few days, ask the doc - but sounds minor to me.

Yes it will heal. It is probably a graze (like you'd get on your knee if you fell over)
It may be sore for a few days.

Don't worry.

I've wolfed down my food a few times. It does heal, but it is uncomfortable until it does.

In many cases such pains are just psycological
