Organization and Time Manament for a teen?
I am 15 years old, i'm a tenth grader and I am so unorganized. To top it all off I have awful time management skills. Normally I get home at four, start actualld doing homework around 5:30, then I end up having to rush to do my homework by ten. I have to be in bed early because I have troubles falling asleep. I know I should start doing my homework earlier, but can't seem to do it. Any suggestions? No stupid answers please

I think you need some kind of a break between school and homework, and an hour and a half doesn't seem so bad. I would suggest talking to your guidance counselor for advice- that's what they're there for. Maybe it's something in your study habits that makes it so difficult for you to get your homework done. Plus, you really need some time to relax, too, and not just on the weekends. Also, try checking out your local bookstore for time management for teens- the sales people at bookstores are usually quite knowledgeable and will be able to recommend something (I know- I work in one).
Good luck!

u can actually divide your homework into two parts one in the evening after you are back from school and another in the early morning
since you have described you have sleepin problems then why dont you do something to make your self sleep faster and better. instead of tousing and turning on the bed why dont you do your work
one thing more when u come back from school you are lingering around for 1 1/2 hr why not try yoga at that time?
there are some asanas whihc help to rip of your tireness and you can concentrate more on your home work
one thing that delays your home work can be your fatigued body and mind
you can try this in morning this help you manage your time properly(yoga/study)
rest all try i know where there is a will there is way

Here's something that could help maybe get a rubberband and on it write 'time' as a reminder that you need to keep time with your stuff. This way whenever you look down at your wrist you'll see that and you'll know what to do. For organization, get folders and write a subject on each of them(school subjects) and take that folder to that class with you. If you have the same problem with your locker, find out if you can get a devider type thing to put in there.

I have the same troubles at times...one thing that helped me a LOT was (surprisingly) finding a sleep aid...that helped me to get to sleep quicker, so I had more time for homework...it's called "Sleep Essentials," and most vitamin stores/magazines carry it, or some version of it.

Hope this helps

instead of waiting until 5:30 to start try to start at 4:30 but take short brakes every 50 min. to give your self a chance to relax a little and then you are re charged and ready to start again.

Avoid distractions like the tv or the internet. When you have a lot of work to do, it should be your only focus. I'm not saying don't have any fun, but put your exucation first. I know how you feel.

a time table is the best remedy in your case. it really helps. You just have to prepare an adequate time table and include everything you got to do.
