I would like to hear from people who have done a fruit and water only fast. How much (water) weight did you lose per week? I just started (this is my second day) and so far I lost nothing at all. Please give me any tips. Thanks!

A friend did. She fainted after a few days to a week. After that she started Weight Watchers and is losing steadily now.

Cow's milk does not aid in weight loss - that is a myth perpetuated by the dairy industry to keep themselves in business. Calcium can help keep your weight in check - and you can get that from calcium fortified orange juice, or soy milk.

I tried an unsweetened cranberry juice fast, I last an hour before I threw up all over the place. The only weight you will lose is water weight, so be prepared that you will gain some weight back when you go off the fast. However, a fast can be cleansing and good for your body if done in small measures. Good luck!

I used to do it for about 10 days once a year.
It is a great 'diet'
Make sure to consult a specialist however...

After the first 5 days you will notice some drastic changes...

The real problem is the end, the cravings are a problem - you must resist.

The biggest problem you will face is your return to the daily things we eat - you should not simply go back and eat a burger - you have to slowly get back to normal eating habits.

If you eat 'harsh' food without slowly leading your body into the normal eating habits you can damage your stomach.

dude you will not get enough vitamin B12 from that diet it will make you sick.. B12 is important for your brain to work properly - you also need some protein or your bones will lose strength and if you are a fatty the last thing you want is weak bones...

make sure you drink MILK or SOY MILK once or preferably twice a day... in fact if you read up about MILK you will learn that it actually aids a persons ability to loose weight...

you cant lose weight in 1 day
start excercising more too

dont do it. Your system needs fibre to 'chew on' otherwise you get piles and start passing blood in your poop.
