I use to live in Selby near York, I cant think off any straight away but there is one that I would definetly not recommend, The Royal York Hotel, me and BF stayed there one Valentine's and it was full of Middle aged men on business stay's. Talking too loud, and being pretenious.
We paid extra for a nice room, and it was nothing more that you'd expect in a B&B.

I would suggest the Blue Bicycle for a romantic meal (book in advance) or Sangthai on the A19 just out off York. (they also offer accomadation or if you did nt want to stay there, there is the Pasonage right next door-I ve never been to the Pasonage but its highly rated - Posh & Becks stayed there when they went to AScot)
Sangthai's food is excellent!!!!!!!

I would also try and find you a hotel that I was gonna stay in just out off york, where every room has a different theme - it looked amazing and I have had friends who rate it (and the food) very highly. (will let you know the name when i find it)

..............found the name .......Crab & Lobster near Thrisk

All New York City hotels are intimate because they are the size of a shoe box... just go over the border to Niagara Falls for a romantic time and BIGGER ROOMS

Ahhhhh... that's so lovely. My boyfriend took me to this amazing place on the Upper East Side - Carnegie Hill (v. posh!) district. It's just around the corner from the Guggenheim and Central Park. I loved it there and we've been back again since. I could spout on and on about it, but instead I'll leave you to surf their website:

My husband mentioned he needed a divorce in 1993 and he's ultimately getting what he asked for in time for our twenty 2nd anniversary. in step with risk your spouse is offended because is the present she needed from you, in trouble-free terms you beat her to it. Or, in step with risk you will be careful what you ask for. ; P
