I live in Kansas City, which is the junction of two states, five counties, and numerous municipalities, many of which tack on their own additions to the state and county rates. The tax rate varies from about 7% in unincorporated areas to an effective rate of 10% in restaurants near the airport.

New Hampshire...no sales tax & no income tax. Live free or die. There is property tax though...dollar amount varies by town.
