The dealers and individuals who sell firearms are pretty good about giving descriptions...What the heck, you might even see something you like better...Have fun!

I can't help you on where to find the military manual, but I'd recommend contacting Beretta's website. If you download the 92s manual, you'll be able to apply it to the M-9 for the military. They're the same pistol.

Now, if you're wanting to know how to disassemble it, I can help you with that right now. First, you clear the weapon. Make sure you drop the magazine, then rack the slide. There is a take-down lever forward of the trigger guard on the left side of the pistol. Flip this lever down and the slide can move forward all the way. This seperates it from the reciever. Now, place the reciever on a work surface. Turn the slide assembly upside down and you'll see a rod with a spring around it. Gently pull the end that's exposed up towards you and the rod will come free. Lift out the barrel. You've now taken the weapon as far apart as you need to to clean it. Any further, and I'd recommend you have a gunsmith either do it or instruct you on it the first time so you don't damage the weapon or yourself.
