If it's not TOO old and is cooked thoroughly. But if it has started to go bad, you're better off throwing it out: Food poisoning is no fun!

the date on the package isnt' absolute. it should be good for several days after that.
if it smells like ham and isnt slimy or discolored, it's fine.
i'm 50 and raised 4 healthy children to adulthood. trust me.

My rule of thumb for cooked sliced meat is one week maximum if it has been kept refrigerated. Same goes for all my lunch meat.
