In America their has been a recall and warning about bagged spinach due to an outbreak E coli so cook it which kills the bacteruim and like all fresh produce wash in well in warm water.

Actually, there is nothing wrong with eating spinach, in and of itself. But apparently recently some spinach got contaminated with an especially vicious kind of e. coli bacteria- which has sickenned a LOT of people and killed one. So far, it has turned up only in one brand of bagged spinach. There are news articles about it.

There is nothing wrong with eating spinach. There is a recent recall of fresh spinach from several sources due to an e-coli outbreak. I would wait until there is an all clear or go to your local organic store and buy some fresh.

Right now there is a recall on all packaged spinach because of an E.Coli breakout that has spread to over 20 states so far....other than that right now spinach is a fine vegetable but if you have any packaged spinach the government says to immediatly toss it out.

Normally, nothing, except that it is just plain nasty! But they have now taken all spinach off the shelves because of ecoli inbedded in the leaves and washing does not help. 1, so far, has died and 109 are ill through 19 USA states. Don't buy, not that you can, or eat it until the FDA has ok'd it.

Normally nothing. However, right now, there is a problem with the bagged spinach containing E-Coli. E-Coli can make you very, very sick.
If you have any bagged spinach, it has been requested that you throw it out.

It's not that there's anything wrong. It's just that people just hate how it's green and the texture and all that I guess. But my mom likes spinach.

I heard today that there is a recall on spinach. Apparently they sprayed some kind of chemicals on it and its getting people sick.

Right now because of the e.coli scare, all packaged spinach should be thrown away.
