It was probably a baby tooth. Denta Bone is excellent for dog breath. If it doesn't improve soon, have a vet look at him for possible infection.

It was a baby tooth and the bad breath is puppy breath caused because of teething. So that should go away when all the permanent teeth have come in. If you are still concerned bring the tooth to the vet and show him the tooth.

Are the ears straight up yet? Most of the time the ears are indicators that they have stopped teething. I have two chihuahuas and found this out to be true.

It probably was a baby tooth, but I would consider taking him to the vet to be sure. I have never known a dogs breath to smell worse from a tooth falling out unless there was an infection. Chihuahuas are very small and an infection can be very stressful on their bodies, so definitely take him in for a check up!

Your dog will be "teething" at that age, there is no reason to worry. He will have all of his permanent teeth in short order.

Thats gross, take it back and get a new one. Or at least spank him with a newspaper for stinking out his tooth hole.
