My grandpa was a retired cop and got a job as a marshall in a court house. He liked it. Or, you can look into working for Wal-mart, as a door greeter.

Have you made out a resume ? Do you have to work in the field that you are trained in. Walmart's has security guards walking around the store (in plain clothes)checking for shop lifters. How about apply at security guard company in your area. I don't think your to old. I'm seventy and I work part time at McDonald's and I retired from an automobile company as an auto body designer.

Hey! You have just reached your prime in life. If you find a job that is worthwhile, then by all means apply for the position. There are so many places who need good experienced Security Guards, and there are not that many out there for them to hire. You are NOT old, so get that out of your mind. You could always be hired as a personal bodyguard.

Wow! I bet you could get a job in the courthouse. When we went to court for my daughter there was a little old man that work in the courtroom and he made sure everyone was seated and made sure the procution and the defense had water and documents when they needed. Let me tell you, I could never have made it through the trial without this little man, he was so nice to me and my family. His name was Alfred, he never had anything bad to say and was concerned about both sides.
Or you could be a Walmart greeter.
Just apply to the court, I think with your background this job would be better. Good Luck!

I'm sure that with your background you could secure a valuable and rewarding job. Private security or undercover work is very possible. You should be able to find something suitable. Good luck.

Stop focusing on your age, and focus on your experience..with that attitude you shall do well. Congradulate yourself for all that you have accomplished, I think that is fantastic of your background. Dont give up if one turns you down, you keep going out there and you will find the job that appreciates what you have learned and what you can teach others. Teaching...your the man!

You could always go through Green Thumb. Also you may check with your local schools and see if they need a school resource officer.
