Many people have Religion, but don"t have the Spirit of God, living in them. To be spiritual, you must be saved, and have Jesus in your heart. Then He will make you spiritual.

people can call themself whatever they wish ... if they think there is a get out clause for any wrong doing , then they do not have to worry too much about reprisals
this makes them very non spiritual
if they were a spiritual , religious person .... they would live a good life for the right reasons .. for love of others and for unselfish reasons
the two ( religion and spirituality ) do not have to go hand in hand ..... but they should !

Well in Christianity, religion is not the point. The Pharisees were very religious, in terms that they lived trying to follow God's rules, but they weren't spiritual. Spirituailty in Christianity is having a relaitonship with God.

one can be religious by pushing a particular Religious Belief System on others by thinking their way is the only way yet a spiritual person tries to be more tolerant of differing Religious Belief Systems. thus one realizes there are many different ways to achieve the same end results.

One who follows a religion without questioning its meaning is someone who is religious but not spiritual.
On the other hand, one can be very spiritual without being religious at all, because you don't need religion to be in touch with your own soul.

I think that religious fanatics cannot be spiritual. Simply.
That's how fanatical believers show themselves.
Not every religious believer is a fanatic - of course not.
---
I think that every spiritual person can easily get along with other spiritual persons whatever their religious beliefs are.
Otherwise = fanatics.

When a person believes and does what other people (like the church) tell him or her to do - that is religion and doesn't need any brains, just blind obedience.
If you follow what's in your heart and deal with God directly that is spirituality and leads to a state of grace.

Well, to start with, spirituality does not (necessarily) have anything to do with religion. Spirituality has to do with self-realization... religion has to do with the belied in and/or worship and adoration of dieties.
