It's not likely that your cousin would have been the only one to witness the cheating, if there's another person who tells you the same story I would believe it, otherwise I would tell the cousin to stop making up lies.

for your sake, don't believe any of them. you should look into the situation. ask your cousin where they met. you should go there and look around at the same time they were seen by your cousin. ask shop owners if they saw your bf.
