Have you actually read what the Pope said?
Here is a link to the English translation of the Pope's controversial speech: http://www.vatican.va/holy_father/benedict_xvi/speeches/2006/september/documents/hf_ben-xvi_spe_20060912_university-regensburg_en.html
With love in Christ.

It was unfortunate that in his handling of the situation, he offended so many. However, he called a spade a spade and since we cannot know which Muslims are violent and which are not, it stands to reason that some will be unjustly maligned. The Pope's opinion should not have had to be defended or apologized for as he simply repeated what another theologian had already written. One has only to look at the radical muslims to see where his opinion was justified. All that aside, he who has no sin, cast the first stone. We all have our crosses to bear.

You would have to be stupid to be offended by what the Pope said - it is a shame that all of those stupids have been offended by something the Pope mentioned, that has been in the public domain for several hundred years.
Their reaction (of pure anger and hatred) is that what they have learned from the Koran, if so, then it is indeed a true work of Evil.
(I am not defending Christianity - as Jesus said the Evil ones would come in his name, and say he was Christ: And All Christians do that)

What is all this fuss for? Again it is the game of politics. The Pop speaks out of a cultural base which does not sanctify or consecrate anything on earth. In this culture, all people undergo scrutinizing and criticism and no one or no thing on earth can be above or away from criticism. In this way, all the prominent characters of the Bible were under investigation. Prophets, saints, and politicians in some way or another are leaders. Their lives, deeds, behaviors, achievements, ups and downs are full of lessons that can not be gotten or reached unless these leaders are put under the microscope.
In the Middle Eastern and Islamic culture the issue is completely different. Prohets, saints and even politicians can never be criticized. They are gradually built up, inflated, and turned into demigods.
Each one, each government or official institution who condemned the Pop for his comments have the right to do so because the Pop (as a politician and a statesman) forgot the roles of the game. He also forgot himself as a Christian leader who is supposed to love his enemy, thus setting a good example for his people
However the reactions from the official institutions and organizations set an example for the mobs to behave in uncivilized ways. And people will be polarized not to make their earth better but to prove to their prophets, saints, leaders and politicians that they are still enslaved to their power and they are their obedient puppets.
Of course the leaders want to set their people on fire to attract their attentions away from more important things than religions.

God, you people make me laugh my a.rse off.... once again... the media drive you into a frenzy... Muslims and Christians... and once again you bow down to it....
Oh we've had the reports on the outcries from the Islamic figureheads... but are we going to get the same reports stating that these figureheads are graciously accepting apologies from the Pope? No we are not. The only newspaper that called for an apology was the New York Times... bloody hell... can you believe that??? Won't they get a whipping from the White House.
Once again this is the government controlled western media that are stirring you all up in this way.... and it's actually really amusing to watch... that you can't seem to form your own opinions about anything.... you are the puppets of your society and the puppets of your governments.... the government run media say jump... and there you all go... they tell you to sit down... and you do as they say.
Free speech? Is that what you really think? You poor, sad, delusional people? How many more lives are going to be taken, muslims, christians and other religions, before you start to sit up and take note that you can remove the hand from your a.rses and start controlling your own thoughts.
You are the governments fools.... whatever your creed, colour or religion.... open up your eyes people and see what is going on... have the courage to look beyond the small narrow streets that trap you.

Men are evil. God is good. Christians learn the message of Jesus Christ to love and forgive. The fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, goodness, gentleness, meekness, temperance and faith. The message of islam is to obey without questioning or thinking the pillars of faith. What is in the heart of a Muslim?

Tell me, what good did Muhammad bring?
Pope is much more educated than your salesman.
If you cannot be tolerant and respect the freedom of speech just stay in Arabia or Indonesia.
I personally think all religions are stupid but Islam is the first. Islam is the one that cannot face with the fact that there are other religions.

Because he is a weak politician. The person the Pope quoted wrote about muhammad first hand and this was known and written by many. He wrote first hand about the atrocities committed by this little hitler. Ambitions of power but too weak to gain it in his home town he organized fellow thugs (literally) to force smaller surrounding villages to follow his religious ideas or be killed and to pay 10 percent or more to the butchers every time they came around to collect. After forcing submission by fear on the neighboring villages he gathered up enough murderous men to slaughter his entire home town, men, women, children and every animal.
He also owned and mistreated black African slaves, was a out in the open pedophile and practiced bestiality.
Before you flame me do us all a favor and dispute these historical facts, I challenge you.
