you can use the dried but i have found that you need more of it the the fresh did you look in your supermarket for fresh dill.....

You can used dried, but not on a 1 to 1 ratio as fresh. You will need less dried dill.

Yes. Most people do. If you want fresh dill weed, grow it. It's not hard, even if you don't have a green thumb. Use a small pot, with any good potting soil. You can find dill seeds packets at most stores that carry seeds. Just set in a window. Liven up your kitchen window!

Yes it is perfectly OK to use a dried herb in place of fresh.
