We should enjoy the gift of Life, no matter where it came from, and allow others to enjoy their gift of Life, too. If we do that, we will not need to cram for the finals - no special preparation needed.

If you're an agnostic, then you don't believe that there is any telling whether there is an after life or not and if not, then how could you possibly know how to prepare for it?
I say people should live their lives in the way that they see fit without violating the rights of others and if there is a god that is vindictive enough to send them to hell for rules that he/she/it made up, then so be it. The only one at fault for that decision would be the god.

Your religion is based on supplication to a teacher, mine is based on a different teacher. Whereas you believe that Jesus must be glorified as a deity, my religion believes in the individual spirit going through a process of purification and finally reaching perfection, rather than basing your eternal soul on the faults and errors of a single life. I can't accept the concept that it is that way. If we have been created and expect to exist in the hereafter, then our short life-span ill-prepares us to face the horrendous burden placed on our rather simple minds. We are not Titans and thus will make errors but we can learn and achieve perfection. If Jesus so loved us, then why would there be such schisms in beliefs?

The only book I need to tell that I have a purpose in life is the Bible. We are to have our house in order at all times.

Since I'm pretty sure that death implies lack of life, then I have to say a life-after-death seems pretty ironic and pointless. So no, I don't plan on preparing myself for it, I plan on living my life well and expecting nothing more rewarding than that. I don't need external rewards to be content.

everyone has free will and therefore their right to prepare or not as they see fit. none of us have the right to try and force our personal belief system on others as this would infringe on their right to free will. respect of differing belief systems must be given if we want our belief systems to be respected by others.
