We're going to Disneyland ( Anaheim) in two weeks and we'll be staying at the Disneyland Hotel. I've heard that we can get into the park one hour earlier than the usual opening time. Is this true and what days is it offered? Also, any general tips ? Thanks in advance. Get ready for more Aussies coming! :-)

You'll need to get the 3-day tickets (or more) to qualify for early entry to the Magic Kingdom and Mickey's Toontown Morning Madness. Guests at the Grand Californian also get their own entrance to California Adventure directly from inside the hotel (regular hours, but no lines).

If you plan on doing Universal Studios as well, remember to buy your tickets early so you can make use of the free shuttle bus from Anaheim to North Hollywood. It'll save you a lot of driving headaches, parking fees, and gas money.

Welcome to the happiest place on earth! You have picked a great time to visit. My daughter and I were at California Adventure yesterday and you couldn't have asked for a better day. The weather will be great and the park will be uncrowded!

In general, get to the park before it opens. You want to get in and get on the rides you most want to see first. If you are coming with little kids I would suggest making a beeline straight to Peter Pan. That ride has a long line no matter what time of year! And if you have enough people in your party, send someone off to get FastPasses for rides while you wait in line.

Check the Disneyland Resort website for current closures so no one will be heartbroken when their favorite ride is closed. There are quite a few things closed right now, but the short lines for everything else more than make up for it!

Happy Travels!

It is true, you can get into the park earlier than others, but only on certain days (usually mid-week). Ask your concierge for more info.

This is true (we never did it, as I couldn't get the kids up early enough)

It varies day to day,
