I assume from this "question" you are unaware that "666" has been found to have been a mistranslation? It was, I think, 616 or something similar. I'm not too bothered to check. That's for you to do.
I suggest checking your sources and updating. It will help you avoid future embarrassment.
;)
EDIT:
As for you emailing me to call me names, LOL(how typically "christian" of you)! I really couldn't care less girl, as I already STATED, I 'm not bothered; that includes me caring whether you believe me or not, lol, it's called answering your question-or did you not understand the concept of this site when you joined? Aww poor thing! If you don't want to check it out, that's fine by me. It simply shows me you are AFRAID of any potential truth that may topple your already teetering belief system.
Feel free to email me again to give out some more "christian" abuse, "christian" hate and "christian" intolerance. It's SURE to convert me...
You simply proved to me one thing: the truth hurts - enough to make you lash out at me for showing your ability to believe whatever you want, regardless of if it's true or not, lol!
;)

The number 666 comes up quite frequently for me... like when I stop by my favorite restaurant's drive-thru for breakfast and the order total comes to $3.34... If I give a $10 and get $6.66 in change, whoopee!
I think Christians in general are way too superstitious when it come to this number. Some Christians have become so nutsy about it that they even claim Bill Gates (one of the people I respect most because of his business and programming genius) is the frickin' Antichrist.
See this link: http://www.greaterthings.com/Humor/gates_anti.htm
However a more logical explanation can be found at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Number_of_the_Beast#666_as_a_name
... but I doubt that you will take the time to read it.
The fact of the matter is the number WON'T come out because it's all a load of crap. Just crap... nothing but crap! Jesus said in John 14:1-3 "Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also." Now according to the Bible, it took only six days for God to create the earth. It's been over two thousand years since Jesus allegedly "ascended" into heaven. The number of the beast (666) won't happen until after his "imminent" return. What is taking him so long to prepare this place for Christians and to receive them unto himself? Where is he? In two thousand more years, if Christianity survives, they will be saying the same things you say today and be just as wrong. Get over your delusion. God is imaginary.

I don't want to waste 5 points, so I'll ask a question in an answer. Should I get a 666 or a cross upside down tattooed (as a joke/to freak old ladies out)?

the 666 comes out all of the time, right after the 665 and right before the 667. It's just a number. Nothing more.
Try not to confuse reality with mythology ok?
Hey velvet, care to point out where this "master computer" is? Or why it holds "every piece of information"? because in the REAL world, no such computer exists you idiot.

666 is a symbolic encoding put into the bible (most think it's nero, some say it's herod). It's like asking someone if they will believe if Zeus comes down with Hera and starts lightning-bolting everyone in 'War of the Worlds' fashion. So, let's ask you a question: What if alien beings come down and show us exactly how they created us - would you believe then? (do u see the flaw in the questions?)

Sure... if the evidence is credible.
Perhaps you don't quite understand one of the basics of atheism - that belief is unnecessary in the light of reality. That which is, is, and that which has not yet been discovered is welcome to reveal itself.
Belief begins only when there is an abundance of reasonable evidence or when the evidence gathered is of such a superior nature, of such an outstanding quality, that even a single occurrence can amount to evidence worthy of believable truth; or for those cases of a belief based truth which might be in the negative, where support for a conclusion fails as a result of on not quite enough existing irrefutable evidence or where no credible evidence at all exists to support a conclusion logically.
So, once again, and the answer goes without saying it, yes, I will easily believe in your ideas of God and Devil and whatnot just as soon as they give hard evidence of their existence.

At the link below you will find a brief history of the Apocalypse, i.e. some of the false predictions of the end of the world we know about dating back to 2800 years before Christ. Most of the false predictions starting with Jesus till today have been from Christians, whose leaders seem to pump out false prophecy like Krispy Kreme pumps out donuts, some of them dozens in a row.
So my question to you is how many times does this ends times stuff have to turn out to be a bunch of nonsense from preachers using scare tactics to up the membership and pick your pockets before you stop worrying about it and do as Jesus taught his disciples:
Matthew 6:34 "So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."
Now do you follow Jesus? Or Tim LaHaye?

This number is a descriptive, the actual mark of the beast will either be a micro chip in the skin or a bar-code branded on the forehead or hand. These will be needed to buy or sell anything. It has not arrived yet, but we all know the technology is already in place.
