The saying 'hand in glove' discribes how well two people or a team of two different groups work well together, so well that it is like a hand fitting into a glove.

If two people are hand in glove it means thet they are cooperating in somthing very closely. As an eduated englishman I claim to know what the phrase means. It is not what a lot of those answering this question have suggested.
