I am traveling to Japan and all of my friends tell me of the cool TVs in the back of the seats. Last time I went to Japan, there was no TV in the back of the seat.

My question is do you know if Boeing 747-300 planes has a TV in the back of the seat (or even some of them??). Then I will have something to enjoy flying over!!!

Generally the Boeing 747-300 does not have personal tv on the back seats in Economy class.

They're soon to be retired and it's simply waste of money to install them, use it for 2-3 years, then scrap them.
Personal TV on all classes are generally equipped on 747-400, 777, 330, 340. But again, not all airlines equip them on all fleet.

Yes there are TVs in the back of the seats. I live in Japan and I've travelled to the states and back to japan in june and july and had my own personal TV that I could change the 5 channels of the worst inflight movies and shows you can imagine.

The Boeing 747 does have it as well. Get a portable DVD player and bring some movies...actually, you're better off getting the rest on the 8-14 hour flight over here and taking advantage of the cheap tasting inflight wine.

It depends upon the airline and the type plane. We flew to London and back on a 777, which is the newer plane, and it had a 12 " TV in the back of the seat in front of us. But I have been on 747's and never had a TV in the seat. They had them overhead or at the front of each section.

I dont know what all you people are taling about in all depends on the aircraft, not the plane. Only B777, A330 and A340 have them as well as some of the A320 family (ex. JetBlue) and the E170/190 Family (ex. JetBlue)

Well I never heard of T.Vs at the back of the seats but if your always getting bored at planes just look out of the window it's exiting and if your also board try sleeping or playing on a PSP if you have one.

It depends on the airline. Most of them do, but some don't, so check with your airline before you leave so you know if you need to take an mp3 player or something like that.

This all depends on the airline that you are flying and whether or not they have them installed on their aircraft.
