Obviously he was not old enough mentally or emotionally to deal with the situation otherwise, he may have thought she was saying that she didn't want hiim to talk to other girls either, which ofcourse is what the situation implies. In a few words-the situation was too deep for him to handle, he was not ready and he bailed. Plenty of girls do that to guys too, it `is all part of the dating scene-lots of mismatches before you meet the match. I would say tho that your friend should let the guys tell her they want a steady relationship and not the other way around. Otherwise there is going to be a line at her door speaking love to make her happy and she will lose more than her feelings, she will loose her virginity, her self respect, her reputation, and her chances to find a nice guy will begin to fade away. Tell your friend to slow down there is no rush. She will be seeing no one else when she gets married and that is supposed to be forever-and she just may regret whoever she forevers with if she doesn't take it slower.

Sounds like he is just a little boy playing at big boy games......let him go and find someone else, i assume you are only young yourselves.... there are plenty more guys out there dont think that this guy is the one for you.... sounds like he has anger and abuse issues, let him go and sort out your own life...let him do the same....one day if he is man enough he may come back and apologize.......
