HELLLOOOO??? are you serious? There are lots of reasons but the main one is that you get to choose who you marry and you do it because you want to not because you have to. What if you have to marry someone you dont even like let alone love?

It is hard to answer this question because if you grow up in a culture that encourages love marriages, you are taught by society to appreciate all the good things about it. The same for arranged marriages--if it's part of your culture you appreciate the advantages. It's hard to remove yourself from your conditioning and upbringing to answer this question.
The only advantage is in a love marriage you get to do all the picking. But I know that someone from an arranged marriage country would probably counter that you have your family to help you make an important decision. So, either way it goes back to values you grow up with and appreciate.

Freedom of choice and a greater chance of happiness. Your name sounds Indian. You are in America now - break free of the old cultural prison of an arranged marriage. Love marriages don't always work, but I can't imagine the horrible imprisonment of an arranged marriage to someone I couldn't stand.

Couldn't tell you. Never been involved in an arranged marriage, unless believing that God arranged our marriage. Good and bad in either. Advantage? debatable.

well with a love marriage you really want to marry the person because your in love with them and want to spend the rest of your life with them.and in the majority of arranged marriages you are made get married and have no feelings for each other
