Yes, I left my husband last year. We have 2 kids. I had come to the point that I thought leaving would be better for us. I was the one who wanted to leave. I alone made the choice to split and it effected us all. I still have doubts if I was right.
I know for a fact that the kids and I are happier now then we were. It has been a very tough year and I have worked hard to be where I am. Things happened that I had not realized would happen in a divorce. As I sit here now I wonder if I had put as much work into our marriage as I did into the divorce would I be happier there now? And then we could all be together. This thought haunts me.

Yes of course. We all have made these kinds of decisions. That's life. We simply have to think carefully before making life altering decisions and not look back once we do. Doubt is a terrible thing that can eat away at you. You simply have to remind yourself that the grass always looks greener on the other side and there was a good reason for your decision. Believe in yourself and do the best from the point you're now at.

We are not allowed that privilege. We make our decisions based on the knowledge and resources we have at the time. If everyone knew the answer before the dilemma, we would never learn anything. Unfortunately, there is pain for all involved. You cannot beat yourself up about it. You have to focus your energy on your present responsiblities and look ahead. I wish you all the best.
