Having read your previous questions, I don't find it at all weird.
You have to remember that the very last thing any guy wants is to summon up the courage to ask someone for a date, and then be rejected.
So they will sort of flirt to see if the reaction is positive, and encouraging. If not, they don't take it any further.
It appears that you discourage people, by moving further away and the like. That's why no-one will ever ask you for a date.

How do you behave around your date? Just treat him like a human being, that's a good place to start. You're thinking too much, just act in whatever way feels natural at the time.

I also started dating really late. At 27, you have me beat, but I do have a pretty good idea where you're coming from - from personal experience. Don't worry about being "weird" or "abnormal" - you're you, and you're a good person, regardless of what others find "normal".

If you don't know how to act on a date, start by treating him the same way you'd treat any female friend. If he comes on hot & heavy, tell him you're new to the dating scene and you really don't feel comfortable taking things too fast. Ideally, you'll find someone you can talk with for hours, and you'll eventually loosen up and be ready for the physical stuff.

I can guarantee that the whole dating thing will feel awkward at first. You'll definitely be out of your comfort zone, but trust me on this... it'll be worth it in the end. You'll make plenty of mistakes, and there'll probably be some tears along the way, but stick with it and you'll be fine.

Good luck!

Yes, I guess it's a bit weird for someone to have not dated by the age of 27... But it's not too late to start! How to behave? Just be yourself - I think it's the best thing to do. Don't be too afraid to do this or say that just because you're not sure how your date will react. Most people have quirks, and a sensible intelligent guy won't judge you prematurely. Also, don't be afraid to get hurt; dating opens up a whole lot of opportunities to have one's heart broken, it is true; but one who doesn't take risks doesn't get the rewards. Lastly, you shouldn't be going into depth regarding your previous dating experience, no one needs to know whether or not you had "dated" before, it's quite alright to be vague and avoid opening up too much before you get to know a person better.

Aww, I think it's sweet. Not weird. Plus, it's fun to tell people that you've never dated before (I should know lol I'm almost 15 and never dated, had a boyfriend, or even touched a guy before!) Sounds like you're waiting for the right one to come along. Wise choice. Don't feel uncomfortable, just be yourself! If he likes you for who you are then it doesn't matter if you act like "the perfect date" and if you are acting then obviously you're not being yourself! lol Be proud of who you are! And don't change for any man. :)

No you are not weird, its better anyway than meeting so many men who will just **** you up! Dont worry the right person will come in your way in the right time. Just be patient! And if you got your first date dont be tense be natural, be your natural self! The guy would be so proud of you because you are a reserve person.

Good luck!

Good luck with your date. Just be yourself and relax. Shy people miss out on a lot in life. Try to make some changes, you'll be much happier.

its not normal, you must get the urges same as everyone else but you dont date!

OK, time to breakout, go buy a pack of condoms, go to a bar or club in a city where no-one knows you, get chatting to a guy and have sex with him. No string and no follow up unless you want it. Then you will have broken your duck.

Don't question too much into the dating scene. When you find the right man for you then you'll know it.
