Lots of cases of elites being right and masses being wrong

Are there any cases of elites being wrong and masses being right?

If not, it would be unprecedented if Intelligent Design turned out to be true and Evolution not.

Think about it!

Something just over half of the American public believes Evolution not to be proven - and that stat is heavily skewed to the less educated. SO, I am suggesting IDers should wonder aloud whether it's likely that they are right and the educated folks are wrong.

The masses -- guided by their religious leaders -- were certain that anesthesia was evil, until Queen Victoria used it in childbirth. Then it was okay, because after all, if the pious Queen had used it, then it HAD to be okay.

Anybody can get anything wrong, anytime. But ill-informed and poorly-led masses are 99.99% certain to get it wrong, and for all the wrong reasons.

How do you figure that the masses believe in Intelligent Design? Not believing in evolution does not automatically make one a believer in Intelligent Design.

Here's one for you:
The elite said eggs were bad for you, the masses said, "eat up, there's nothing wrong with them in moderation!" The elite later said eggs were good for you.

Just because your brain can't think of an example of something, it doesn't necessarily logically follow that it's never happened. Unless you've got proof to back up that you're omniscient.

Here's the history where honest people reported their findings (which disputed the masses' understanding: 1. Galileo (earth revolves around sun); 2. Quantum physics (it's still not understood by most); 3. relativity (still not understood by most); 4. Evolution; 5. World as a globe (not flat). The list goes on. It's important not to disparage these honest and agenda-less people with the word, 'elite'.

The so-called "intelligent design" is anything but. It's a fraud and a lie, it's creationism under another name. Any proponent of "intelligent design" is breaking a commandment...so much for "following god's laws".

What you're inferring about "the masses being right" is not about facts but about strength in numbers. Powerful majorities have dictated throughout history (christinanity, Nazism, communism, islam now, etc.), but they've never been right.

The "masses" aren't the people who believe in 'Intelligent Design' It's the uneducated religious.
Evolution IS true. It's not up for debate. It has been proven, unless you're one of those zeealots who believes scientists actually planted all the ruins and bones and ancient technologies they then dug up and discovered.

Well usually... people that are considered elite are pretty cautious about saying stupid **** (especially today, because it means their career if they are wrong and terribly wrong).

As far as Evolution being true.... the shear fact that there are now drug resistant strains of certain virus and bacteria proves the concept of evolution is true. Those that can survive in their environment live and pass on those genes.

i think of that it rather is a distinctive possibility IF the government doesnt concentration on immigration NOW. we are letting too many immigrants in and the radical Muslims HATE the way this united states of america is run and could choose to take over on the 1st given possibility. even however, it is often stopped if the government does some thing approximately this occasion NOW!! We dont choose any repeats of what happened in Woolwich can we? all of us with any radical previous, or who could be monitored by using MI5 could be EXPELLED from this united states of america and not in any respect be allowed back in even for a holiday. we would desire to do this to guard our land, and the society that we now stay in. people who dont like the way we live right here shouldnt be living right here besides. in the event that they havent have been given a job, DONT admit them. in the event that they cant communicate English fluently, DONT admit them. in the event that they are Muslims DONT admit them. enable them to bypass to countries that prepare their faith and not come right here and attempt and alter the way the united kingdom is run. I dont unavoidably think of that this could take place, yet i could admit that i think of that it may take place if Cameron etc dont concentration in this occasion now. i'm no longer a racist, and that i settle for any colour, race or creed, however the united kingdom could stay because it is, and not be replaced into some Islamic society the place the white guy is in the minority. the united kingdom belongs to US, and we could continuously endeavour to maintain it that way.

Here is a thought my friend....... The masses you speak of infer large groups of people...... You can have large groups of people believing in one thing..... You can have at the same time a large group of people believing in something different..... Ultimately, there is only one opinion that counts..... That opinion will be God's opinion........

For people who do not believe in God..... Then they do not have faith that God created the world through Jesus Christ his Son....

Just because a scientist does not believe that God created man and created the world does not change the truth....

The early scientists believed the earth was the center of the universe.......

The early scientists believed the world was flat......

Today's greatest aerodynamic scientists when applying all known principles state that it is not possible for a humming bird to fly........but I saw one the other day flying.... God knows the reason a humming bird can fly...because God designed the humming bird to fly...

Just because a Christian can not explain everything about creation......does not change the fact that God made the world... and God made man.....

God made man with freedom of choice..... God wants man to believe in him by faith.......

the greatest case where the elites were wrong and the commoners were right is when they sentenced our devine saviour jesus christ to death the ultimate denial that man controls his own destiny u have contol over situation not final outcome their is at best alot of wild ideas about creation just because man cant deal with the fact there is a greater unseen power that controls this world we are not supreme mans biggest hang up is that we are alone and are a superior species wrong answer you cant see god but you cant see the air we breathe but its real

I don't think the masses hold much stock in the elites. So, what would it matter?
