I was just now reading up on him and although it doesn't get deeper on his spirituality from the sources I checked out, I wonder what he really believes behind the scenes.

You may not like his music, and that's cool, but I have a feeling he knows more than his biographers are willing to submit.

Very mystical words he speaks.
Maybe it's just me

I wasn't like every other kid, you know, who dreams about being an astronaut, I was always more interested in what bark was made out of on a tree. Richard Gere's a real hero of mine. Sting. Sting would be another person who's a hero. The music he's created over the years, I don't really listen to it, but the fact that he's making it, I respect that. I care desperately about what I do. Do I know what product I'm selling? No. Do I know what I'm doing today? No. But I'm here, and I'm gonna give it my best shot.

According to Answers.com, Sting, who was born Gordon Sumner, was raised Roman Catholic. Here is an excerpt from the write-up:

"Sumner was born in Wallsend, near Newcastle upon Tyne in northeast England, to Audrey Cowell and her husband, Ernest Sumner. He is the eldest of four children and has a brother, Philip, and two sisters, Angela and Anita. His father managed a dairy, and as a boy Sumner would often assist him with the early morning milk delivery rounds. Sumner was raised in the Roman Catholic tradition, due to the influence of his paternal grandmother, who was from an Irish family."

Not sure what his religious affiliation is at this time, however, I've also noticed a kind of spiritual quality about him and depth in his music. Thanks for this question!

He is a Buddist, but I could care less what religion he is. I saw that on a biography of him once.
