the best foods to eat are proteins
fish
chicken
eggs
turkey
tofu
nuts
sprouted beans
green leafy vegetables
lots of fibre
fruit
veg
and whole grains
brown rice
wholemeal pasta
you could also add a protein shake and don't forget dairy for calcium.
this is all part of a healthy balanced diet.if you like you can have skimmed milk and low fat yogurt.
the best routine is to eat every three hours making sure you have protein in most meals.this is the best way to burn fat ,but if you want to bulk up up the carbs
jacket potatoes,
rice,
pasta.

Eggs are. The white piece of the egg is very rich in protein. As you know proteins are required to repair the muscles from their damage. The more proteins consumed, the faster and greater your muscle gains will be. However, one should not consume more than 3 eggs a day, as it can lower cholestrol severely (too low is not good either. Eggs are also full of vitamins.
As you can guess, chicken is also very rich in protein, as a chicken comes out of an egg.
Other substances that are good:
- milk
- juice
- beef
- salmon
- nuts

I used to live with a fanatical body builder (share accomodation) anyway he would eat heaps of rice, eggs and chicken he would even get up at 3am to have a meal - it was all mapped out for him by food and times and he stuck to it religiously

u can get many info from www.bodybuilding.com but i think maybe the info there is too much for u. what i know is, whey protein. it's the most important one. then if u have more money u can buy creatine and glutamine. don't forget to buy 'one-a-day' multivitamin bcos u really don't get much vitamins from food these days.
there are so many whey protein products out there. i recommend 'ON 100% Gold Whey Protein' bcos it's the best (in taste..especially strawberry,mixability in water,price). It's also the no.1 product in bodybuilding.com.

Carbs, carbs, and more carbs! The good ones are from rice, pasta, potatoes. And lots of protien to build those muscles!
