Men do, but women are catching up.
Theory: In the early EARLY years, men wanted to be with as many partners as possible in order to pro-create as much as possible. The women they slept with / had children with, on the other hand, wanted monogamy because of their more maternal instincts.
Basically, it's subconsciously in a man's instincts to want to pro-create and therefore "cheat."
Women, however, are now catching up. Why? Because society has changed us.

It can go either way. It depends on the person. I have heard of bad experiences with partners cheating from both men and women. Unfortunately though, in many cases when men cheat, the women victims end up financially far worse off.

Men. I've had 5 boyfriends in my life and all screwed around, not just once but multiple times (2 or more). Men are visual creatures and if a woman shows up with big boobs and a tight a$$, they'll go with her without much provocation.

Women have greater opportunity because they are a lot more attractive while men have a greater inclination and less intelligence so they get caught more often....
