The best thing to do is have a play time for the kitten just before bed. Get the kitten tired so that she will sleep some. Also teach her that you are the boss. If you would rather her sleep on the floor or at the foot of the bed start teaching her now. Get her a cat bed place it beside the bed out of the way so she doesn't get stepped on by accident. Put her favorite toy or blanket in the cat bed. If you wish to let her sleep at the foot of the bed make her a spot with her blanket. You have to train a cat just like you train a dog. If she contines to jump on you keep placing her in the floor by her bed or on her spot on your bed. It takes time. Also you have to keep it up if she gets away with sleeping by your head one night she will keep on doing it. You have to break her now because she is a kitten and habits can be changed alot easier then if you wait until she is full grown.

This kitten is really too young to be away from momcat. They should stay with her for 8 weeks and ideally 12. but whats done is done. You must recreate Momcat.
Play with her before you want to go to bed so she gets tired out. then put her in her bed. She would ideally like a heated bed, see a cat supply place, but if you can't get one a hot water bottle in a sack made from a towel will work. they also sell discs you can heat up in the microwave.
put in the bed with her a soft stuffed love object the size of a Momcat. It should be able to stand some chewing. Put this arrangement on a low table or chair where ever you want her to sleep. Cats don't like sleeping on the floor, it's cold and drafty and something could sneak up on you. When she slaps you around, put her in her bed, say goodnight kitty, and go back to sleep. Do not scold or punish. It doesn't work anyway. Don't be surprised if you see her in the bed during the day.
Remember they sleep more as they get older.

kittens and puppies etc are just like babies they sleep in spurts and play in spurts as your kitten gets older it will sleep longer hours etc as for the jumping on your face the only thing I can suggest is to start teaching it, that its not tollerated by pushing it off the bed or at least off your face and just keep doing it - dont remove it from your face and then pat it, this will just teach it that this is the best way to get a pat from you when you are asleep. Having a young animal is much like having a young child, you need to teach it what is acceptable.

Cats are nocturnal, and ours never wanted to sleep at night either. They used to sit on our bed and claw up the blankets. When we moved our feet they'd attack them. We could never get any sleep, so we put them out of our room and closed the door. It's hard to get the cats to sleep when they don't want to (or do anything when they don't want to, for that matter). It'd be a lot easier to just let them run around outside of your room while you're sleeping at night.

well 1) she is a kitten and 2) cats are nocturnal

you can have a good play session right before bed and then feed her that might help. she will calm down some as she gets older.

another option is to get a large dog crate and put a small litter box in there and put her in there if she bothers you too much.

mostly it is due to her young age...perhaps you should try to "crate" her at night in a cat carrier make sure she has eaten and went potty and put her down for bed when you go...this has worked in the past for me with a cat
