Well, this question should get you a "whole lotta" answers - but mine might be the simplest and least expensive: - first of all "viruses" are "airborne" , and move in ALL directions!..they travel quite freely in the air.. so anyone i.e.:coughing, sneezing,clearing their throat, can send a virus out into the air and depending how close you are to them, you can pick-up their virus, (or commonly called "germs").To keep your personal space devoid of viruses is almost impossible, unless you want to do a Jerry Sienfeld - remember the "bubble boy"? Anyway, back to your question..... get yourself a whole bunch of green plants, start with the .99 cent ones, start out easy - the more "greenery" in your dwelling the cleaner the air - while you sleep, when you are out, these "greenery" plants go to work and eat up and filter the air! - Just like the world, without trees, we will all run out of air - which greenery produces, and at the rate we are destroying our earth - the faster we are going to meet "our maker"! Grow on darlin! - it isn't expensive to clean your home of viruses - of course, if you have a LOT OF MONEY - you can buy a "heppa" filtered air filtering machine - but what one? Go with the plants and wake up to a fresh smelling home...

The ionizer air purifiers will help, but to really do it right, have a professional come in with a big beefy ozone machine to sterilize the place. Did you know that ozone is something like 1000 times more powerful a disinfectant than bleach or lysol?
