My male chihuahua has lost his appetitie after my female had puppies. Is this normal behavior?

Is he being protective of the mom and pups? Chi males can be very involved fathers. My male couldn't wait to get in with his puppies and after a few weeks I let him and he love being with them. He would clean them and sit with them. As they got older her played with them. I don't think he stopped eating well though. If it continues beyond a few more days, you should probably take him in to get checked out.
